Roman numerals are the numbers, originated in Rome around 500 to 600 B.C. They were primarily used to set up a common system of counting. You know that we can only count a minimum amount of things with our bare hands therefore Romans developed this system to count a large number of things.
These numbers were derived from Latin alphabets. Some common Roman Numerals are I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X. These are the numbers depicting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10.
Indo-Arabic numerals are also called decimal numbers, originated in India and later in Arabia. They constitute the most common number system used pervasively today.
